Clean up text
Replace, deduplicate, remove blank lines, and adjust case and spacing.
Calculate MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512 digests.
Hashes map input to a fixed-length digest for comparing text data and checking values. Choose an algorithm; exact input matters, including spaces and line breaks. A hash is not a text encoding that can simply be decrypted.
Choose a hash algorithm.
Paste the text to hash.
Calculate and copy the digest, checking algorithm and input.
It cannot be directly decrypted. Hashing is not reversible encryption, although short inputs may be guessed or dictionary-matched.
MD5 and SHA-1 are unsuitable where collision resistance is required. Password storage requires a dedicated password hashing scheme.
